DAY 1. PARIS AIRPORT – PARIS

Bonjour! Welcome to the City of Lights! Begin your adventures with Versailles. Enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Palace of Versailles. Explore the Kings and Queens apartments, the Hall of Mirrors as well as the grounds. Hear the stories and learn about the excesses of Marie Antoinette, Louis XV1 and the spark to the French Revolution where the Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919. End your day in Paris with a walking tour of the latín Quarter and the famous Shakespeare and Co. Book Shop. Lodging at the Hotel

DAY 2. PARIS

fter breakfast this morning, enjoy a walking tour of Montmartre and the stunning Basilica of Sacre Coeur. After lunch, continue your tour adventures of Paris with the most beautiful theatre in Paris, the Opera Paláis Garnier. A masterpiece of theatre architecture of the 19th century, the «Paláis Garnier» was built by Charles Garnier in 1875 and is the 13th theatre to house the Paris Opera since it was founded by Louis XIV in 1669. It was built on the orders of Napoleón III as part of the great Parisian reconstruction project. Also known as the inspiration for Gaston Leroux’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’. No visit to Paris is complete without the Eiffel tower where you will take the Elevator to the second level. Enjoy an evening cruise on the Seine River, a perfect way to end this great day

DAY 3. PARIS

After breakfast. Today enjoy your guided tour of the famous Louvre Museum. This former Royal Palace converted by the Revolution into a museum which now lays claim to the title of «Most beautiful museum in the world.» See Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa,
the amazing 3rd century BC statue Victory of Samothrace and the celebrated Vénus de Milo from the 2nd century BC. Continue to explore this amazing city spending time in the Jardín Des Tuileries, see the site of the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and a walk along the Champs Elysees to see the Arc de Triomphe. Tonight see the other side of Paris~ with her remarkably dark and stormy past, filled with terrible plagues, torture, brutal monarchies and wars. Tonight travel through time with your guided ghost tour. Hear the stories of the French Revolution, the Paris commune and the Nazi occupation. Get acquainted with famous historical figures such as Napoleon, Marie Antoinette, and Henry VI as well as the many serial killers that owned the dark alleyways you might be walking through

DAY 4. PARIS – AVIGNON – ARLES

After Breakfast. Transfer to the station. Depart by TGV train to the beautiful Provencal City of Avignon, which was for centuries one of the major artistic centers of France. Located on the banks of the River Rhône, this medieval city is dominated by the incredible Pope’s Palace. Tour the Palace, the city center with its ancient walls and relax in the Parc Rochers des Doms. Continue to Arles by private coach. Today tour the Roman ruins of the ancient theater and the Roman Arena, where 2000 years ago gladiators fought and today it is still used as a sporting arena. Enjoy the amazing architecture of the Forum Square and be sure to have a treat in the bright yellow cafe also known as the Cafe Van Gogh where Vincent was inspired for his famous painting. Walk in the footsteps of Van Gogh where he painted 200 canvases in 15 months and where he reportedly cut off his lobe in a fight with his fellow artists, Paul Gauguin. Lodging at the hotel.

DAY 5. ARLES – CARCASSONNE

After breakfast. This morning continue your journey by private coach to Carcassonne, one of the most perfectly preserved walled towns of the world. It is also the largest walled city in Europe and encompasses towers, dungeons, moats and drawbridges which serves as one of the most impressive examples of medieval France. This afternoon explore the castle and see the Chateau Comtal, the Bell Tower and the Cathedral of St. Michael with it’s fantastic views and photo opportunities. Hear stories of the Gauls, Romans, Moors and the Franks. Have fun exploring this amazing place and your first night in a castle! Loding at the Hotel.

DAY 6. CARCASSONNE – BARCELONA

Breakfast. Today you travel south along the Catalonian coast to Figueres, Spain. Figueres is the birthplace of the famous artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), and houses the Dalí Theatre Museum, see the largest surrealistic object in the world, which occupies the building of the former Municipal Theatre. Even the building that houses his work is considered a work of art. Continue your journey to Barcelona. Lodging at the hotel.

DAY 7. BARCELONA

After breakfast. Today walk to the Mercat de Sant Josep La Boqueria, the famous food market of Barcelona. Also explore the historic quarter of Barcelona, also known as the Gothic Quarter. This area is full of fascinating architecture including the incredible Sagrada Familia. After lunch, take some time to relax in the city to explore the shops and eateries of La Rambla. Barcelona’s old city is, without a doubt, one of the finest of Southern Europe. This wide boulevard connects the Place de Catalunya, a busy square, to the Monument a Colom, a tall column erected in honor of Christopher Columbus.

DAY 8. BARCELONA – MADRID

After breakfast. Transfer from the Hotel to the Station. Depart on the train to Madrid, the capital of Spain. Enjoy your walking tour of this fabulous city, including highlights some of Madrid’s famous avenues and historic quarters. See The Opera, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Las Ventas bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu, home of Real Madrid football team. Lodging at the Hotel.

DAY 9. MADRID

After the breakfast. Today travel to the medieval pink city of Toledo, located 70 km from Madrid and one of the oldest cities in Europe. Once the former capital of Spain, the beautiful architecture includes almost every period in Spain’s history including; Arab, Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance, and Baroque. Toledo is also famed for its production of iron products, especially swords. Lodging at the hotel

DAY 10. MADRID AIRPORT

Breakfast at the hotel or take away, depending on our departure time. Transfer to airport. End of our Services
