MOROCCO LAND OF FIRE 8 DAYS

DAY 1. FEZ AIRPORT – FEZ

Arrival, meet your tour director and transfer from de Fez Airport to the hotel check. This afternoon you will explorer this nice city with your tour director. Accommodation at hotel.

DAY 2. FEZ

After having breakfast our local guide will tour us through Fez, The Spiritual Capital city of Morocco. Inside the Medina (market) we visit a Madrasa or koranic school (entrance included) with an impressive architecture. It’s one of the only building allowed the access to the public. This is a good opportunity to know the insides of those amazing buildings that normally are closed to the public. The Medina (market) has not changed for centuries. There are narrow alleys, hundreds of merchants and craftsmen selling a range of products such as da- tes, fish, spices, copper urns, carpets and musical instruments. You can’t miss the Tanners’ Quarter (Chouaras Tanneries), you come to an area that has hardly changed since medieval times. Semiclad boy workers tread the skins in earthen vats filled with chemicals or dyes, and stack the reeking hides on to donkeys for delivery to the leather-workers’ shops. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon we’ll enjoy some time free to discover the city. Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 3. IFRANE – MIDELT – ERFOURD

Breakfast in hotel and we are ready to start our route. Our first stop will be Ifrane, also known as «The little Swiss», is a town and ski resort in the Middle Atlas. We make our way to Midelt, in the high plains between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountain ranges. This village was founded by the French and belongs to the «Desert Route». Lunch on your own and we go on to Erfoud. We have an optional visit for tonight: Desert sleepover, 4×4 vehicle tour and a camel ride in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. DAY 4. TODRHA – OUARZAZATE

After having breakfast, we start our day heading to Todrha gorge, a canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains. It is one of the most natural beautiful landscapes at this tour. This gorge, made of rock walls about 15 km long. For about 600 meters, the canyon walls closes in to a mere 10 meters from each other, while the sheer and smooth rock walls rise up to 160 meters on each side. It is said that the gigantic rock walls magically change color as the day progresses. Lunch on your own. In the after- noon we continue to Ouarzazate. Accommodation in hotel in Ouarzazate.

DAY 5. OUARAZATE – DADES VALLEY – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

Once we have breakfast, we will visit Ouarzazate, a beautiful oasis deep blue African sky, nicknamed The door of the desert. This city is also known as the African Hollywood, we can visit several cinema studios (entrance included) among which are some of the largest in the world, the Atlas Studios. Films such as The jewel of the Nile, Asterix and Cleopatra and The Ten Commandments were shot here. Lunch on your own. Later we continue our journey towards Ait Ben Haddou stopping by the famous Kasbah a place for the local leader to live and a defense when a city was under attack. It has high walls, usually without windows which was built on a hilltop so that they could be more easily defended. Go on our journey to Ait Ben Haddou enjoying the beautiful landscape and finally Marrakech. Accommodation in hotel in Marrakech.

DAY 6. MARRAKECH

Breakfast in hotel and we start with a full day guided tour of Marrakech. In the morning we will enjoy a panoramic tour of the new town: Marrakech Gueliz and the Nouvelle Ville. We’ll visit the Menara Gardens, the Koutubía mosque exteriors, built by the almohad dynasty, and the Saadian tombs (entrance included), the mausoleum comprises the interments of about sixty members of the Saadi Dynasty. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon we visit The Medina (old fortified city packed with vendors and their stalls), the walls are made of a distinct Orange red clay and chalk, giving the city its nickname as the «red city”; In the evening we enjoy a dinner show in the well known «Dar el Salam» Restaurant. Site in an old Palace, we’ll have dinner in an exceptional decorated lounge where they will delight us with a music show and a traditional dance. This restaurant is famous for being the setting of Hollywood films due its stunning architecture. Celebrities like Alfred Hitchcock, James Steward or Doris Day have enjoyed an evening in this wonderful restaurant. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

DAY 7. CASABLANCA – RABAT

After having breakfast, we start our trip to Casablanca, city founded by the Phoenicians and occupied by Portugal for centuries. Since 1956 Casablanca it is part of the French protectorade. Casablanca is home to the Hassan II Mosque, designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau. It is situated on a promontory on the Atlantic. It is the only mosque in Morocco where the entry of non Muslims are allowed. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon our local guide will take us for a tour through Rabat, capital of Morocco since 1912. This city is also the seventh largest city center with an urban population of approximately 580,000 and a metropolitan population of over 1.2 million. This city is home to many beautiful historic places such as the nowadays Moroccan king’s palace, Mohamed VI, with its impressive 24 carats gold dome. We also visit today Oudaia’s fortress with its historic streets, andalusí gardens, and the fantastic view to the Atlantic Ocean. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in hotel in Rabat.

DAY 8. RABAT – RABAT AIRPORT

Breakfast at the Hotel and transfer to the airport. Depart and End of the tour and our Services.
