Itinerary

DÍA 1. MADRID AIRPORT – MADRID – EUROPE PARK

Arrival at Airport. The group meets with your Tour director and coach for transfer to Madrid city centre. Free time in the city. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon we continue to Torrejón to visit the Europe Park, the most spectacular replicas of European monuments are assembled in this park: Brandenburg Gate, Berlín Wall, Greek Theatre, Fontana of Trevi, Eiffel Tower, Puerta de Alcalá or London Bridge, are some of them. Accomodations in hotel in Madrid.

DAY 2. MADRID – ROYAL PALACE – ALMUDENA’S CATHEDRAL / ALCALÁ DE HENARES

After Breakfast, we visit the Royal Palace (entrance included), only used for state ceremonies. The current Royal Palace, was built on the site of the old Alcázar which was destroyed by fire. King Felipe V decided to build a palace for his Borbon dynasty. The inside stands out for the richness of its materials and by the works of art. Later we continue our journey to the Almudena Cathedral (entrance included), the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madrid. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Alcalá de Henares, birthplace of the illustrious Miguel de Cervantes, author of «Don Quixote», and home to one of the most prestigious universities in Spain, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its rich monumental Heritage, formed by churches, convents and University buildings, gives us a glimpse of life in Castile during the Spanish Golden Age. Accommodation Hotel.

DAY 3. ÁVILA – PALACIO REAL DE LA GRANJA DE SAN ILDEFONSO – TOLEDO

Breakfast at the Hotel and today we start our journey visiting Ávila, it is some- times called the Town of Stones and Saints, and it claims that it is one of the towns with the highest number of Romanesque and Gothic churches (and bars and restaurants) per cápita in Spain, it was declared la UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Its main monument is the imposing Walls of Ávila. It is the largest fully illuminated monument in the world. Lunch on your own and in the afternoon, we continue our journey to San Ildefonso, the most Outstanding construction is an 18th-century palace (exterior) in the, formerly the summer residence of the Kings of Spain since the reign of Philip V. The palace is in a restrained baroque style surrounded by extensive gardens in the French manner and sculptural fountains. The highlights of this palace are its paintings, portraits, and a Museum of Flemish tapestries. After the visit we will go direction Toledo. Hotel and Accommodation.

DAY 4. TOLEDO

Breakfast at the Hotel and today will start our visit to Toledo with a local guided tour. Toledo is one of the Spanish cities with the greatest wealth of monuments. Known as the «city of the three cultures», because Christians, Arabs and Jews lived together there for centuries, behind its walls Toledo preserves an artistic and cultural legacy in the form of churches, palaces, fortresses, mosques and synagogues. This great diversity of artistic styles makes the old quarter of the capital of Castile – La Mancha a real openair museum, which has led to it being declared a World Heritage Site. Lunch by the customer and in the afternoon we can enjoy some free time to discover this city full of history. Hotel

DAY 5. TOLEDO – EL ESCORIAL – SEGOVIA

After Breakfast, depart by coach to San Lorenzo del Escorial (entrance included), is a historical residence of the King of Spain. On 2 November 1984, UNESCO declared the Royal Seat of San Lorenzo of El Escorial a World Heritage Site. It is one of the Spanish royal sites and functions as a monastery, royal palace, museum, and school. El Escorial has been the burial site for most of the Spanish Kings of the last five centuries, Bourbons as well as Habsburgs. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon depart to Segovia. DAY 6. SEGOVIA – MADRID

Breakfast. In the morning we head in to Segovia for a visit with local guide a historic city in central Spain. Its centuries of settlement have resulted in a rich architectural legacy, including medieval walls, Romanesque churches, a former royal palace and a Gothic cathedral. Its iconic ancient Roman aqueduct has more than 160 arches, most in the original mortarless granite, and stands above Plaza Azoguejo in the heart of the city. We continue the tour walking along the Alcazar, a castle rising out on a rocky crag above the confluence of Eresma and Clamores rivers, and the Cathedral, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was built in an atavistic Gothic style in the mid sixteenth century. Breakfast at the hotel or take away, depending on our departure time. Transfer to airport. End of our Services
