Itinerary
DÍA 1. MADRID AIRPORT – MADRID – EUROPE PARK
rrival at Airport. The group meets with your Tour director and coach for transfer to Madrid city centre. Free time in the city. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon we continue to Torrejón to visit the Europe Park, the most spectacular replicas of European monuments are assembled in this park: Brandenburg Gate, Berlín Wall, Greek Theatre, Fontana of Trevi, Eiffel Tower, Puerta de Alcalá or London Bridge, are some of them. Accomodations in hotel in Madrid.
DAY 2. MADRID – ROYAL PALACE – ALMUDENA’S CATHEDRAL / ALCALÁ DE HENARES
After Breakfast, we visit the Royal Palace (entrance included), only used for state ceremonies. The current Royal Palace, was built on the site of the old Alcázar which was destroyed by fire. King Felipe V decided to build a palace for his Borbon dynasty. The inside stands out for the richness of its materials and by the works of art. Later we continue our journey to the Almudena Cathedral (entrance included), the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madrid. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Alcalá de Henares, birthplace of the illustrious Miguel de Cervantes, author of «Don Quixote», and home to one of the most prestigious universities in Spain, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its rich monumental Heritage, formed by churches, convents and University buildings, gives us a glimpse of life in Castile during the Spanish Golden Age. Accommodation Hotel.
DAY 3. SEGOVIA / ROYAL PALACE OF LA GRANJA DE SAN ILDEFONSO
Breakfast. We’ll visit Segovia with a local guide, the old Quarter of which, along with its Roman aqueduct, are World Heritage Sites. In addition to its famous aqueduct, numerous Romanesque churches, the Cathedral (entrance included) and Fortress «Alcázar» (entrance included) go to form this magnificent landscape that presides over this part of Castile. More over, Segovia is an excellent starting point to tour the province and visit to the La Granja Palace de San Ildefonso (entrance included), among other attractions. Lunch by the costumer. Accommodation in hotel in Madrid.
DAY 4. MADRID – TOLEDO – GRANADA
fter the Breakfast, depart by coach to Toledo, city sightseeing with local guide, around old town, included entrance fees to the St. Tome and St. Maria, lunch on your own. Continuation depart to Granada. Lodging at the hotel
Tonight Madrid walking tour with your tour director around old Granada, you can see the Cathedral, Jewish quarter and Paseo de los Tristes.
DAY 5. GRANADA – SEVILLA
After the Breakfast, visit the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens with local Guide. Lunch or your own. After depart by coach to Sevilla.
Tonight Sevilla walking tour with your tour director, you can see the Plaza España, Guadalquivir River or Gold Tower. Lodging at the Hotel
DAY 6. SEVILLA
After Breakfast, we start the Sevilla city sightseeing with the local Guide, walk for the Santa Cruz Quarter, including entrance fees to the Cathedral and Giralda.
Lunch on your own. Afternoon free time for shops. Lodging at the Hotel
DAY 7. SEVILLA – MERIDA
After the Breakfast, Depart by coach to Mérida, lunch on your own. In the afternoon will visit this majestic city founded by the Emperor Augustus, where we will see its Roman ruins and its spectacular amphitheater illuminated. Lodging at the hotel.
DAY 8. MERIDA – LISBON
After Breakfast, depart by coach to Lisbon. Lunch on your own, After, walking tour with your tour director around old city and free time for shops. Lodging at the Hotel
DAY 9. LISBON
After having breakfast we meet with our local guide for discovering Lisbon, Portugal’s hilly capital, is a coastal city known for its café culture and soulful Fado music. From imposing São Jorge Castle (entrance included), the view encompasses the old city’s pastelcolored buildings, Tagus Estuary and the Ponte 25 de abril suspension bridge. This city is rich in architecture; Romanesque, Gothic, Manueline, Baroque. Modern and Postmodern constructions can be found all over Lisbon. The city is also crossed by historical boulevards and monuments along the main thoroughfares, particularly in the upper districts; we also visit the Belém Tower (entrance included), part of a defense system at the mouth of the Tagus river, as well as Jeronimos Monastery (entrance included) which became a burial place, for kings, and later poets. Today it is admired by one and all, not only as a remarkable piece of architecture but also as integral part of Portuguese culture and identity. The Hieronymite Monastery was declared a National Monument in 1907 and in 1983 UNESCO classified it as a «World Heritage Site». Lunch by the costumer. Later we will have free time to discover the city by strolling about Alfama quarter or taking a coffee in Brasileira Café or doing some shopping in Rua Augusta. Accommodation in hotel in Lisbon.
DAY 10. LISBON – SINTRA – ESTORIL – CASCAIS – LISBON
Breakfast. In the morning, depart to Sintra, we will see this nice place and we will visit the Royal Palace. After we continue to visit Cascais, a charming Portuguese fishing town. During the visit we can see its fascinating historic Centre; we can enjoy a walk through the immaculate parks that open out onto the traditional fishing harbor. Lunch on your own. After we continue to Estoril. This town has an elegance style more commonly attributed to resorts on the Côte d’Azur. Exiled royalty and deposed despots made this their heaven during World War II. Here, we enjoy walking around the Grande Casino Internacional Tamariz beach and return to Lisbon and accommodation at the hotel
DAY 11. LISBON – LISBON AIRPORT
Breakfast at the hotel or take away, depending on our departure time. Transfer to the Airport. End of the tour and our Services.
