Itinerary

DAY 1. LISBON AIRPORT – LISBON

Arrival at the airport and departure towards Lisbon. Arrival at the Hotel and accommodation.

DAY 2. LISBON

Breakfast at the Hotel. We will start our day with a panoramic view of Lisbon with a local guide, Portugal’s hilly capital, is a coastal city known for its café culture and soulful Fado music. From imposing São Jorge Castle, the view encompasses the old city’s pastelcolored buildings, Tagus Estuary in Lisbon or surrounds Abril suspension bridge. This city is rich in architecture; Romanesque, Gothic, Manueline, Baroque. Modern and Postmodern constructions can be found all over Lisbon. The city is also crossed by historical boulevards and monuments along the main thoroughfares, particularly in the upper districts. Lunch in reserved restaurant. In the afternoon we can visit the Belém Tower (included), part of a defense system at the mouth of the Tagus river and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. The Hieronymites Monastery, pantheon to both the Royal family And Vasco de Gama, in the manuelino style from the early 16th century. We will stop to visit also the Jeronimos Monastery (entrance included). Return to the Hotel and accommodation.

DAY 3. FÁTIMA

Breakfast at the Hotel and then we will start our journey toward Fátima. The appearance of the virgin in 1917 transformed the small town of Fátima into the destination of the millions of believers who make the pilgrimage every year and gather o the great Neo-Baroque Basilica with its colonnades and Chapel of Apparitions. Lunch in reserved restaurant and in the afternoon we will visit Valinhos and Aljustrel. Possibility of celebrating or attending a Holy Mass, as well as participating in the religious activities and an evening procession. Check-in at the Hotel in Fátima and accommodation

DAY 4. COIMBRA – BRAGA

Breakfast at the Hotel and we continue to Coímbra, the former capital city for more than one hundred years, boast the oldest University of Portugal. With our local guide we will visit the exterior of the university’s library and Romanesque Cathedral, prior to strolling down the narrow streets to the Carmelite convent where Sor Lucía, one of the Fátima shepherds lived and died. Lunch in reserved restaurant. In the afternoon we continue our trip to Braga. The Cathedral, The relic Chapel and Santa Bárbara Chapel are one of the most important sites in the city centre. Afterwards we will visit the Bom Jesus del Monte, a Portuguese sanctuary, and a notable example of pilgrimage site with a monumental, Baroque stairway that climbs 116 meters (381 feet), then we visit Sameiro sanctuary, Portugal’s second biggest. Check-in at the Hotel in Braga and accommodation

DAY 5. SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Breakfast at the Hotel and departure towards Santiago de Compostela, with a local guide we will visit the capital of Galicia. It’s known as the culmination of the “Camino de Santiago” pilgrimage route, and the alleged burial site of the apostle St. James His remains lie within the Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, consecrated in 1211, whose elaborately carved stone facades open onto grand plazas within the medieval walls of the old town. DAY 6. OVIEDO – CANGAS DE ONÍS

Breakfast at Hotel. In the morning departure in the direction of Covadonga. Brief stops during the journey and arrival in Oviedo for lunch. Lunch at restaurant and visit to the city with local guide, capital of Asturias. What stands out is the Congress Palace, designed by Calatrava, the Campo de San Francisco and the Campoamor Theatre, where each year celebrates the delivery of the Príncipe de Asturias prizes. If time permits we can do a tour of the cathedral exterior, the Trascorrales Square, the Square «Ayuntamiento”, arriving to the market. At the indicated time we will travel to Cova- donga. Brief stops during the journey and arrival at the Hotel in Cangas de Onís or surroundings. Check-in and accommodation in Cangas de Onís

DAY 7. COVADONGA – BILBAO

Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning we will visit the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Covadonga known as the Santina, the Basilica and the Royal Site. Free time and possibility (optional) to climb to the lakes of Covadonga. Lunch in reserved restaurant and beginning of the journey direction Bilbao. Arrival at the Hotel and accommodation. We will have free time to enjoy this beautiful cities and taste the traditional “pinchos» restaurants.

DAY 8. BILBAO – BILBAO AIRPORT

reakfast at the Hotel and at the designated time transfer to the Airport. End of the tour and our Services
