Itinerary

DAY 1. MADRID AIRPORT – GUADALUPE – TRUJILLO

Arrival at the airport and departure towards Guadalupe, where we find the Palace the Marquis de la Romana, with the Hospice of Nobles, Mudejar cloister; Its main monument is the Monastery, the most important that the Jerónima Order had in Spain. Its origin coincides with the appearance of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, which according to tradition was sent from Rome to Seville by San Gregorio Magno to San Isidoro. Miraculously found her buried and where it raised a hermitage and later a monastery. This morning, if possible, we attend to mass. DAY 2. LISBON – FÁTIMA

Breakfast in the Hotel and in the morning we start our journey to Lisbon (Portugal), where we can enjoy a guided tour to the beautiful Portuguese capital, we visit its main monuments and neighborhoods: the Tower of Belém (entrance included), the Jeronimos Monastery (entrance included), the Monument to the Discoveries, Commerce Square, the Castillo de San Jorge, the Chiado neighborhood, etc. Lunch by the customer and then we will continue our journey to Fátima Hotel and accommodation in Fátima

DAY 3. FÁTIMA / TOMAR

Breakfast at the Hotel and we start our day with a tour through Fátima apparition sites. In this worldwide pilgrimage center we can visit: The Basilica of our lady of the Rosary, the Colonnade and the Aljustrel. Lunch by the customer and in the afternoon we continue our journey with a visit to the Convent of Christ in Tomar same name order’s headquarters with the largest prestige in Portugal. DAY 4. BATALHA – ALCOBAÇA – OBIDOS

Breakfast and journey towards Alcobaça. Here we visit the exterior of one of the most important of the medieval monasteries in Portugal. Due to its artistic and historical importance, it was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1989. We continue to Batalha, Where we can contemplate the Monastery of the Battle, it was erected in commemoration of the 1385 Battle of Aljubarrota, and would serve as the burial church of the 15th-Century Aviz dynasty of Portuguese royals. It is one of the best and original examples of Late Gothic architecture in Portugal, in- termingled with the Manueline style. Lunch reserved in restaurant and in the afternoon, we heading to Óbidos, where we can enjoy an interesting Old Town tour. Return to the Hotel and accommodation

DAY 5. COIMBRA – PORTO

Breakfast at the Hotel and we start our journey towards Coímbra with a local guide, known as «A cidade dos estudantes» (The city of the Students), mostly because it is the site of the oldest and one of the largest universities in Portugal. Here we can visit the University neighborhood with a High-Renaissance style, its chapel and its library founded by Don Dinis. We also visit the Monastery of Santa Cruz, where is buried the first King Portugal, with its characteristic Manueline style. Lunch in restaurant reserved in Coímbra and we continue our journey to Porto. In the afternoon our local guide take us for an-Porto tour, where we admire the old town, with the magnificent City Douro views, from the Sé (Cathedral) as well as we cross through its famous bridges. DAY 6. BARCELOS, BRAGA – BOM JESUS, GUIMARÃES – PORTO

Breakfast at the Hotel and journey towards Barcelos. In this beautiful city we can contemplate the old town and the main parish church of Saint Mary of Barcelos. We continue towards Braga, the most important episcopal metrópolis of Portugal, highlighting its numerous churches, the beautiful Cathedral (Manueline influence) and its many convents. Lunch by the costumer and in the afternoon we visit the Sanctuary of «Bom Jesus», Portuguese pilgrimage center, and then we continue our journey to Guimarães, an historical city that had an important role in the formation of Portugal. Guimarães is one of the country’s most important historical cities. Its historical center is a la UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accommodation in Oporto.

DAY 7. PORTO – ZAMORA

Breakfast at the Hotel and journey towards Zamora (Spain). This city lies on a rocky hill in the northwest, near the frontier with Portugal and is crossed by the Douro river. With its 24 characteristic Romanesque style churches of the 12th and 13th centuries it has been called a «museum of Romanesque art». Zamora is the city with the most Romanesque churches in all of Europe. Our local guide take us for an old town tour. Lunch by the Customer and free afternoon to continue discovering the city. DAY 8. ZAMORA – TORDESILLAS – MADRID AIRPORT

Breakfast at the Hotel and journey towards Tordesillas, well known thanks to the «Treaty of Tordesillas» with Portugal in 1494, which established the line dividing the globe between Spain and Portugal for colonization purposes. This especially affected the Portuguese and Spanish colonization of the Americas, and placed the name Tordesillas in history worldwide ever since. We may enjoy a walk through the old town. Lunch in reserved restaurant and in the afternoon we continue our journey back to the Airport. End of tour and our services
